Medical Clinics Bring Added Layers of Complexity

This 10,000 SF medical clinic project had several challenges to overcome. The building lacked a fire suppression system and due to the medical use, the project required upgrading the building with a new sprinkler system while fully occupied. HST worked with the building owner to abate existing asbestos, the architect to navigate change-of-use issues and the WA Department of Health to commission new MEP and fire life safety systems. The finished project consisted of exam rooms, patient rooms and a demonstration kitchen.
